The Problem: Trivelta was expanding faster than it could hire or pay

Trivelta (formerly Rebet) is a globally distributed iGaming technology company. Since launching in 2023 with three employees, it has grown to 400 team members and keeps expanding into new countries across multiple continents. For cofounder Isabella DiGiovanni, every new market raised the same two questions: who would recruit there, and how would the company pay people compliantly once they were hired?

Recruiting was the first obstacle. Hiring in 5 to 7 new countries meant finding recruiters in each region, then working out which signals mattered and how to evaluate those recruiters. U.S. recruiting teams weren’t cutting it.

“We needed to run a hiring process quickly and find talented, vetted software engineers who could hit the ground running,” Isabella says.

Payments were the second. Trivelta ran payroll on Gusto, which didn’t support multi-EIN, so paying people across borders was fragmented. Every hire touched a separate recruiting agency or in-house recruiter, a separate ATS, and a separate payment solution.

That’s when Trivelta came to Bolto.

Solution: A recruiting model that works in any country

Bolto proposed a different approach to global recruiting: recruiters and agencies in each country compete to fill Trivelta’s roles. The incentives are structured so only the best talent comes through, and the strongest candidates in each country rise to the top quickly, wherever Trivelta expands next.

Bolto started with one role in one country and did it well: Trivelta hired its first developer through Bolto in under two weeks. From there, it took on multiple roles in that country, then a second country. As the model proved itself, Bolto expanded Trivelta’s hiring across South America, and then into Asia and Europe.

Once hiring was running in multiple countries, Bolto took on payments too, replacing the separate recruiter, ATS, and payment solution with one platform.

Hiring and paying a global team on Bolto

Today, Trivelta’s entire global hiring process runs on Bolto. When Trivelta needs a new team, such as 10 engineers in India who can start shipping immediately, it needs a fast turnaround without spending time on compliance. Bolto runs the whole operation end to end:

  • Recruiting. Local recruiters compete to source and vet the right engineers.
  • Compliance. Compliant hiring and contracts in every country.
  • Payments. Every team member paid from one platform.
  • Management. Ongoing team management, so Trivelta can stay focused on its product.

“Bolto made it easy to focus on growth by handling payment and compliance. We liked being able to have recruiting & payment integrated and managed in one place.”

Results: Global hiring at a fraction of the time and cost

With recruiting, compliance, and payments on one platform, Trivelta builds teams in new countries without starting from scratch.

By the numbers:

  • 3 continents of hiring: South America, Asia, and Europe
  • 26 engineers hired through Bolto, with a 5.6-day average time to hire
  • 3 to 5x faster than running separate vendors
  • 2 to 3x lower cost than running separate vendors

Trivelta can now scale into any new country without rebuilding its hiring process.
